03 / How we do it

The approach

How we
plan it.

Motorised adjustable louvres

They rotate by remote and close fully to form a roof. In summer you angle them for shade without cutting the breeze; in winter you open them and let the sun in.

Structure and drainage

Powder-coated aluminium with the gutters built into the structure itself: the water runs down inside the posts. The fall and the number of posts are calculated to the size.

Glazing and extras

You can add side glass curtains, vertical awnings, an LED strip and a rain sensor that closes the louvres on its own.

We won't quote a price per metre without seeing the job, because we'd be making it up. We visit, we measure and we give you a fixed, itemised quote. It depends on:

Setting out the profile, the glass, the ironmongery and the colour, along with the lead time. Anything unforeseen is raised and priced with you before we do it.

Made in the workshop

Cut and assembled in El Verger, to the measurements taken at your property. We let you know as soon as it's ready to fit.

Fitting and adjustment

We strip out and remove the old unit, fit the new one plumb and sealed, and adjust the ironmongery: it opens, it closes, it doesn't catch and it doesn't let draughts through.

What people ask us

Does it hold the rain with the louvres closed?

Yes — closed they form a roof and the water drains through the built-in gutters and down the posts. What does need calculating properly is the fall and where it discharges, and that's decided at the visit.

Do I need a building licence?

It usually needs at least a declaración responsable, and in some towns in the comarca a full licence. It depends on whether it's wall-mounted, on the area and on the plot. We tell you exactly what you're installing so you can apply; the application is made by the owner.

Can it be closed in at the sides?

Yes — with glass curtains, a vertical awning or fixed panels. A lot of people start with the pergola and close the sides later on, so it's worth allowing for it from the start.

What maintenance does it need?

Very little: clear the gutters so they don't block with leaves, and check the motor. Powder-coated aluminium needs no painting or treating.
